The structure was born from the careful recovery of an ancient church, reinterpreted in a contemporary key to offer an intimate, elegant and authentic stay.

The history of Dimora Bonafede
The building that today houses Dimora Bonafede was originally one of the historic churches of Ragusa Ibla.
Studies and research conducted at the State Archives of Ragusa have allowed it to be identified as the ancient Church of San Giacomo, giving the residence a precise historical and cultural identity.
The recovery project respected the traces of the past, preserving the original architectural elements and enhancing their memory. The contemporary intervention was designed to dialogue with history, without altering it, giving the structure a new role in the urban fabric of Ragusa Ibla.

Dimora Bonafede is the result of a personal vision, deeply linked to the territory and Sicilian culture.
Purchased by a young airline pilot born in Sicily, the residence has been transformed into a charming boutique hotel, capable of combining contemporary design and international elegance.
Each environment was imagined, designed and looked after in detail by a creative native of Chiaramonte Gulfi, who directly followed all phases of the renovation. Materials, volumes and atmospheres were chosen to create continuity between past and present, leaving room for art and light as narrative elements.
